She died on 11 Jun 1954 in Stevensville, Ravalli Co., Montana. She was buried in Hamilton, Ravalli County, Montana, Riverview Cem.

BIOGRAPHY: Her nickname was Mollie.
Under the heading "Douglas Falls News" in the Colville Examiner, 23 Mar 1929, is the following in reference to the death of her father: "Mrs. Roy Hunter from Hillyard is a guest of Mrs. E. Alice Myers, coming here to attend the funeral of her father, Mr. Houchin, of Marcus." So, at the time she was living in Hillyard (in northeast Spokane). At the time of her mother's death in 1936, she was living in Missoula, Montana. She also lived in Hamilton and Stevensville, Montana.
A few short notics were published in the Colville Examiner, dated 17 Jun 1922, under the title Douglas Falls News: "Mr. and Mrs. E. Houchin, Mrs. R. W. Robinson's parents of Orient, were week-end visitors at the home of their daughter." And, "Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Barton entertained at dinner Monday Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Robinson, Harold Douglas, and Mr. and Mrs. E. Houchin." And, "Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Robinson were Colville shoppers on Tuesday."
A short notice was published in the Colville Examiner, dated 15 Jul 1922, under the title Douglas Falls News: "Mr. and Mrs. Houchin, parents of Mrs. R. W. Robinson of Long Lake, and her brother were callers at the Robinson home Friday."

BIRTH: Marriage record shows middle initial "P", and is at least age 21. The 1880 census lists Waynesfield, Auglaize county for a Charles P. born in Michigan, which is just a vew miles from St. Johns where Clyde Houchins was born in 1890. This leads me to believe this is the right Charles P. who married Mary E. Houchins.

BIOGRAPHY: He was known as "Uncle Rob" to some.

MARRIAGE: He must have married Mary E. before the death of George Sommers in 1916 because he is a witness on George's death certificate.  Also, Mary's last name is Robinson on an application for reimbursement for George's burial expenses from his pension, also in 1916. They are already married in the 1910 Stevens County census. He was married before to A. N. ___ when living in Kansas, according to the 1895 Kansas census.

 Ola Maria Williams, 85, died at Wabash County Hospital Saturday at 6:23 a.m. having been in ill health for five years. She had made her home in Urbana with her daughter Mrs. Russell Kirshmen for the past year. She lived in Oakland, Calif., many years and was a retired nurse.
 Born March 26, 1882 in Ada, Ohio, she was the daughter of Erasmus Houchin and Rachel (Sommers) Houchin. She married John P. Chambers May 26, 1900. He died in May, 1908. She is survived by Mrs. Russell (Eileen) Kirshmen, Urbana. One daughter and one stepson preceded her death, also four brothers and three sisters.
 Also surviving are three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be at St. Bernard's Church Tuesday at 10 a.m.
 Friends may call at Eddingfield Mortuary after 7 p.m. Sunday. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Monday.
 Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Robert Martin, Walter Satchwill, Donald and Stephen Kirk, Russell Kirshman Jr. and Lowell Snepp.

"Margaret Mary Lindley, 87, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away Nov. 25, 2011, at Silver Wood Good Samaritan of Silverton, Idaho. She was born May 12, 1924 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; to George Edward and Johanna Mary (Feil) Butler.
 Margaret attended schools in Coeur d'Alene and she attended and graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy in Coeur d'Alene in 1941.
 Margaret married Claude B. Houchin in 1942 in Coeur d'Alene; they moved to Wallace in 1950. On Sept. 10, 1950, Margaret was remarried to Walter Lindley; Walter preceded her in death in April 1973.
 Margaret worked for the employment office in Coeur d'Alene for two years; she then worked for the Shoshone County Court system from 1960 until her retirement in 1989.
 Margaret was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Wallace, Idaho, a member of the Wallace Lady Elks and a member of the Womens Benfit Association.
Margaret loved and enjoyed her family, cooking, crocheting, crafts, collecting dolls and tea cups, and planning parties and family reunions.
