Memorial service for Nora E. Nance, 72, is set for 3 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nance, who died Thursday, was born in Orient, Wash. She moved to Millwood in 1939 and married Paul Nance in 1940. She worked in the meat-packing industry for nearly 30 years and as a cook at Bethany Home from 1982 until she retired last August.
Mrs. Nance was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Her husband died in 1982.

"Margaret Mary Lindley, 87, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away Nov. 25, 2011, at Silver Wood Good Samaritan of Silverton, Idaho. She was born May 12, 1924 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; to George Edward and Johanna Mary (Feil) Butler.
Margaret attended schools in Coeur d'Alene and she attended and graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy in Coeur d'Alene in 1941.
Margaret married Claude B. Houchin in 1942 in Coeur d'Alene; they moved to Wallace in 1950. On Sept. 10, 1950, Margaret was remarried to Walter Lindley; Walter preceded her in death in April 1973.
Margaret worked for the employment office in Coeur d'Alene for two years; she then worked for the Shoshone County Court system from 1960 until her retirement in 1989.
Margaret was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Wallace, Idaho, a member of the Wallace Lady Elks and a member of the Womens Benfit Association.
Margaret loved and enjoyed her family, cooking, crocheting, crafts, collecting dolls and tea cups, and planning parties and family reunions.
Margaret is survived by her children, George Houchin of Prichard, Idaho, David (Betty)Lindley of Spokane, Wash., Bob (Adele) Houchin of Las Vegas, Nev.,and Patti Houchin of Wallace, John (Jackie)Houchin of Meridian, Idaho and Dorothy Houchin of Wallace; one sister, Mary Jo Crowder of Coeur d'Alene; one brother, Glen(Kay) Butler of Florence, Ore.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandaughter; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter;two sons, Gary Lindley and Steve Houchin; one daughter Claudia Houchin and one sister Jidd Malaby.
Cremation was held and vigil services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday Dec. 1,2011 at Silver Wood Good Samaritan of Silverton. A Memorial Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2,2011 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Wallace, with Father Tom Loucks serving as celebrant. Inurnment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg, Idaho."
